valley_girl1919, thank you for posting to the Microsoft forums.
By using 'Parental Controls' you can setup the PC to regulate times allowed on the PC as well as block sites.
You can access the Parental Control settings through Control Panel:
Classic View: Click Parental Controls.
Category View: Click User Accounts and Family Safety, and then click Set up Parental Controls.
Click Internet Explorer, click Internet Options, click the Content tab, and then click the Parental Controlsbutton.
To set up Parental Controls, you must have an Administrator user account. Parental Controls cannotbe applied to an Administrator user account.
Before you get started, make sure that each customer for whom you want to set up Parental Controls has a standard user account. This is because Parental Controls can only be applied to standard user accounts.
To configure Parental Controls for each desired account, follow these steps:
1.Open the Parental Controls console.
2.Click the standard user account for which you want to set up Parental Controls 3.Under Parental Controls, click On. 4.Adjust the individual settings that you want to control. 5.Click On if you want to enable Activity Reporting. When Parental Controls block access to a Web page or game, a notification is displayed that the Web page or program was blocked. The child can then click the Ask an administrator for permissionslink on the notification box. This will allow for the input of an Administrator user account’s name and password. The same notification occurs if a child tries to download a file by using Internet Explorer 7 and Block File Downloadswas enabled within the Web Restrictionsconfiguration.

If a customer tries to access a page that has mixed content of data that is contained both on and off the approved list of Web sites, Internet Explorer 7 in Windows Vista displays an Information Bar to request permission from an administrator to approve the download.
When the whole page is blocked, an error page is displayed that also provides a link that lets the child request permission to view the page.
The Help documentation that accompanies Windows Vista provides an overview and how-to information on the Parental Controls features and functionality.

Eso addon folder location. I have a VPN connection set up using the Cisco VPN Client, and whenever I connect to it I lose my internet connection. This is the first time I have used this software, all previous VPNs I have used have been setup through Windows and I can uncheck the 'use remote gateway' box in the TCP-IP properties box to get around this.
Is there a similar option in the Cisco Client that I am missing? I am running on Windows 7 32 bit

Some softwares conflict with Cisco AnyConnect, as in my case. Had NetBalancer installed and it would stop sending/receiving any packets as soon as I would connect to VPN. another program that I know to conflict is called Connectify.
You can refer to cisco website :Cisco Website
What I did is as below :

The nature of the VPN connection from the Cisco device at the remote location is to tunnel all traffic for routing by the remote location. This includes your Internet traffic which is then denied by the remote router.
You will need the VPN administator at the remote location to enable split tunneling. Assuming that the network doesn't conflict with your local address pattern (which is most likely 192.x) then you should be good to go.

If your are using it for a specific IP range, you can try adding static routes via command prompt and deleting the default route. That will work but it may require a little manual route modification.

When a remote user connects to the a secure gateway, the VPN Client can receive a web browser proxy setting from the secure gateway and then change the web browser proxy configuration of the user to operate within the organization's environment. This setting is in effect only while the user is connected to the secure gateway. When the user disconnects, the VPN Client automatically changes the browser proxy of the PC to its original setting.

I had the same issue, and I tried to disable TCP/IPv6 and in the cisco anyConnect secure connection. It worked just fine. Especially, if you are connected to Verizon hot spot that is most likely to be the issue (IPv6).
